Privacy policy

The short version

• Tidzy reads, searches, recognises text in and names your files on your Mac. File names, contents, screenshots and search queries are never uploaded, to us or anyone else.
• There is no account, no ads, no tracking and no analytics inside the app.
• The app talks to the internet for two things only: checking your license and checking for updates.

What the app sends

License checks. When you activate, the app sends your license key and your Mac’s name (for example “Mayank’s MacBook Pro”) to Dodo Payments, so you can see which Macs are using your key. About once a week it re-checks the key with an activation ID. Nothing else is sent.

Update checks. Once a day the app asks gettidzy.app whether a new version is out. Like any web request, this includes your IP address and the app and macOS versions. We don’t store or profile it.

Buying Tidzy

Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record. Dodo collects your name, email, billing country and payment details under its privacy policy, and handles invoices, taxes and refunds. We see your email, country and what you bought, so we can deliver your license and help you. We never see your card details.

This website

• gettidzy.app is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes requests (including IP addresses) to serve and protect the site.
• We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies, doesn’t fingerprint you and doesn’t track you across sites.
• Fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google sees the request for the font files.
• We don’t set any cookies of our own.

Email

If you write to us, we keep the conversation so we can help you. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, or to delete it, at hello@gettidzy.app. Payment records Dodo must keep by law stay with Dodo. To stop all network use by the app, block it in your firewall: everything except license and update checks keeps working, and your license works offline for 30 days at a time.
